The Bible defines lust as something that is very different from love. Lust is selfish, and when we give in to it we do so with little regard for the consequences. Frequently, lust is a harmful distraction that pulls us away from God. It is important that we gain control of it and pursue instead the type of love that God desires for us.
In a world that has been sexualised on all levels, platforms and media outlets the weight of temptation is overbearing and the fight for innocence and purity debilitating. Gluttony is a sin that many Christians find easy to laugh about and accept has harmless while sins such as being an alcoholic or adulterer are quickly attacked. The sin of gluttony is idolatry - it is a choice to self-love, comfort, and control through food. However, today it's not only food it's materialistic consumption, manipulated by the media, digital marketers, their algorithm's and content creators....Have you had your fill?
Greed is the reason for drug dealings, stealing, robbing, lying, fraud, and other sinful businesses such as the porn industry, and more. When you’re greedy for money you will do anything to get the money you love. Scripture tells us that it’s impossible to serve both God and money. Greed is the main reason why there are many false teachers in Christianity. This is proven by the vast perceived wealth of the tech companies and all those who flock to market for the wrong reasons. We will re-iterate again, that every penny of profit made will be redirected into the creation of a media market committed to delivering content befitting our invested audience and in doing so deconstructing the greed that works to contain us all.
God's Word makes it very clear that we are instructed to work hard and put our best effort forward. The Bible, especially in the wisdom-filled book of Proverbs, speaks often of the cause and effect relationship of hard work and rewards as well as laziness and ruin. What would you be doing if you weren't trapped in a world of scrolling and posting, would you be that you the beats within your heart and not held motionless by handset and the outpouring of the other sins we are exposing.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. The turmoil you feel inside is a confliction created by the distractions and temptations that are delivered through your handset and spoken to you by the devil himself. Break free from his algorithms and addiction of the device and allow yourself the internal calmness to once again appreciate that he is evident within you.
The Bible says envy is an act of the flesh, the result of human sin: “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.......everyone of them pouring out of your and your child's mobile phone.
